BLUE RIVER RESOURCES LTD ANNOUNCES 2013 EXPLORATION PLANS FOR THE MAZAMA COPPER DEPOSIT
Vancouver, BC – March 7 2013: Blue River Resources Ltd. ( TSX.V: BXR ) ("Blue River" or “the Company”) announces exploration plans for 2013 for the Mazama Copper deposit, located in Okanogan County, Washington, USA.
Blue River’s exploration plans for 2013 include confirmation and expansion of the historic Non 43-101 compliant resource* developed by Quintana Minerals Corp. of 149 million tons grading 0.36% Copper, from 20 diamond drill holes and 47 percussion holes. *the reported resource is historic and not compliant with the National Instrument 43-101 standards of disclosure. A qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical estimate as current mineral resources. Blue River is not treating the historical estimate as current mineral resources.
Blue River’s 2013 exploration programs will consist initially of a property wide geophysical (magnetics) survey, followed by a detailed surface mapping and sampling program. Blue River intends to permit a diamond drilling program in 2013 that will allow a confirmation of the historically reported copper mineralization.
A Three Dimensional Induced Polarization (“3D IP”) geophysical survey conducted in 2007 outlined a sub circular anomaly, possibly reflecting a pyritic alteration halo, and an extensive magnetics geophysical survey was recommended to develop coincident drill targets.
Surface sampling in the area around the Flag Mountain Zone will be an additional 2013 exploration priority, as gold mineralization, reportedly grading up to 0.10 oz/ton* was reported from a 60 ton bulk sample in 1918.
* A qualified person has not confirmed these historically reported mineral grades and Blue River intends to confirm these reported grades through the 2013 mineral exploration program.
Blue River intends to design and permit a series of diamond drilling l programs focused upon any promising mineralization targets that are developed through the 2013 exploration program.
